Lesson 1: Daniel Obeys God
Daniel 1—Daniel refuses to eat the king's food. Instead he obeys God's laws. Daniel is rewarded with the best job in the kingdom.

Lesson 2: Daniel Prays
Daniel 6:1-10—Some men are jealous of Daniel's top position in the kingdom. They trick the king into declaring that no one is allowed to pray to any god or man except him. The penalty for not praying to the king is to be thrown into a den of lions. Daniel chooses to pray to God.

Lesson 3: Daniel Trusts God
Daniel 6:11-18—Daniel trusts God to protect him from the lions. The king, who doesn't want Daniel to die, and doesn't know of God's greatness, worries all night. Trusting in God is the best way to live.

Lesson 4: Daniel Is Protected By God
Daniel 6:19-23, 25-27—God protects Daniel from the lions. The king learns to put his trust in the living God. We can trust God to hear and answer our prayers too.
