Ages 4–6: Jesus and the Children, Jesus Raises Lazarus, Mary Shows Love to Jesus, Jesus Washes His Friends' Feet

Lesson 1: Jesus and the Children
Matthew 19:13-15; Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17—Jesus' disciples do not want Jesus to be bothered by children. They try sending the children away, but Jesus, who loves all people regardless of age or status, scolds His followers and blesses the children.

Lesson 2: Jesus Raises Lazarus
John 11:1-44—Mary, Martha, and Lazarus were among Jesus' special friends. When Lazarus becomes ill, Mary and Martha know Jesus has the power to heal. When Jesus arrives, Lazarus has been buried for four days. Jesus reveals His love for this family when, out of compassion and for God's glory, He raises Lazarus from the dead.

Lesson 3: Mary Shows Love to Jesus
John 12:1-8—Mary, Martha, and Lazarus invite Jesus to a special dinner. Lazarus serves as the host. Martha serves the food. Mary performs an act of love. She pours very expensive perfume on Jesus' feet. The scent attracts the attention of everyone. She is unashamed of her deep love for Jesus.

Lesson 4: Jesus Washes His Friends' Feet
John 13:1-17—Jesus has very little time left to be with His disciples. This is His last supper with them. Now Jesus must prepare them for His death. He chooses to teach them one more lesson about love and serving others. Using a bowl of water and a towel, He washes each man's feet. Then He tells them to follow His example of love and service.
